About
Phyllis is currently working as a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) for NGRC and spent much time working to earn my hours working with some great people. Phyllis was a nurse ((MSN) for over 25 years and really enjoyed the times in her career counseling patients with HIV and Cancer. Phyllis had an opportunity to publish an article on an Alcohol Withdrawal protocol developed by a team of physicians and nurses for a Peer-Reviewed Nursing journal. This involvement helped her to see all factors related to alcoholism and hospitalization. In 2014, she went on disability after back and hip surgery. Her time away from her practice was both restful and boring, and she wanted to return to the area of practice I loved; counseling patients.
As a CAADC, Phyllis would like to help those of all ages feel better about themselves, build inner strength, and connect authentically with others. Phyllis feels her life experience, academic achievements, and her willingness to work hard to make a difference for the client really makes her own life more meaningful.
In addition to counseling, Phyllis enjoys time with my grandkids, sketching landscapes, drawing portraits, working with plants, reading spiritual and mystery novels and going out with friends.
