Individualized Recovery Plans Made for You
From residential programs, to therapy sessions, to alternative approaches, there are many different methods used to treat addiction to drugs and alcohol. Recovery plans may rely on individual accountability, or establish a more structured environment that provides guidance to patients.
At North Georgia Recovery Center, we build individualized treatment plans for each of our clients that are based on your unique needs and goals. Our top-notch facility in Cobb County offers a range of recovery programs that vary in structure level and involve a variety of different components.
Our three core programs are our partial hospitalization program, our intensive outpatient program, and our outpatient group and after care program. We offer structured-yet-flexible non-residential programs that allow patients to complete treatment while continuing to fulfill commitments and participate in daily life. Within each of these programs, the details of treatment are adjusted according to the needs of patients.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our partial hospitalization program provides the highest level of structure and guidance that we offer in our facility. The treatment focuses on addressing your struggles with addiction in addition to any mental health issues. This program can be completed at home.
There is a medical component to this program. You will complete a nursing assessment upon admission and regularly meet with a doctor. However, this program is for people who do not require around-the-clock medical supervision.
If you are enrolled in our partial hospitalization program, your treatment may involve:
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy
- Family therapy
- Experiential groups
- Process groups
- Addiction & co-occurring mental health education
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The focus of our intensive outpatient program is to address drug and alcohol dependency issues, as well as co-occurring behavioral health issues. This program is structured but allows for individual accountability. It is a great program for people who will benefit from this level of structure, and interaction within a group setting.
Our intensive outpatient program involves components such as:
- Individual therapy
- Couples therapy
- Group therapy
- Family therapy
- Art therapy
- Team building activities
- Spirituality groups
- M.D. visits
- Addiction & co-occurring mental health education
Outpatient Group and After Care
Once you complete our partial hospitalization program, our intensive outpatient program, or another form of treatment, you can participate in our outpatient group and after care program. Following treatment, we generally recommend that clients attend individual therapy sessions at least once weekly and group therapy sessions twice a week.
This program is also available for people who have completed a drug and alcohol addiction treatment program at another facility and are in need of group therapy sessions to continue their recovery.
